Wayfarer

Wayfarer is a mock travel website that encourages travelers to explore destinations that are off the beaten path. I was tasked to create the full brand identity and design website UI components and graphics in Figma. The goal was to design a landing page that appealed to Gen Z consumers. Upon researching new trends in design and social media, I found that bold colors and whimsical shapes were popular. I looked through travel websites through a Gen Z lens, and figured that the minimalist approach looked too serious and outdated. Traveling is fun, and that is what I wanted to communicate through my design.

What is illustrated here is the process of my website’s UI design that is currently still in the works. I have built this in Figma, and created the illustrations on Adobe Illustrator.
